Distillery Production Supervisor at Oak Point Texas

Job Duties: Assist the Distillery Owner in the design, production, quality management of the entire range of manufactured spirits using proven European techniques of aging and barrel finishing in European species of wood, including French Oak. Oversee the day-to-day safe operation of the distillery and/or barrel house operation, its equipment and systems, including the general operational maintenance, cleaning and servicing of distillery equipment. Manage production operations including barrel handling/maintenance, prepping and filling oak barrels for spirits aging, operating equipment, moving barrels for storage using forklift, and quality control during aging process. Monitor end to end production of the entire product range, including bottling and packing tasks as required. Pick, pack and dispatch of internal and external orders. Identify ways to improve the distillery thru efficiency and organization. In charge of Tour Management, such as opening and closing of the barrel house and all general security concerns. May also perform bartending duties in tasting room. In charge of our Spirits from the point of bottling, labeling, wax dipping, quality control and dispatch. Manage distillery equipment. Responsible for ensuring that distillery equipment is used effectively and maintained correctly. Perform equipment cleaning, and maintenance as required. Organize the maintenance of equipment to ensure that all equipment remains in top working order. Monitor costs during the production process. Ensure that the cost of each production run remains compliant with the budget set out for it. In charge of Production reporting, date collection, and inventory management to ensure correct supplies are on-hand as needed. Record data about the production process and warehousing of spirit. Prepare reports to be share with owner. Observe budgetary restraints to ensure there is enough staff available to meet production goals. Ensure health safety and environmental compliance. Making sure that the distillery is a safe place to work, while ensuring the necessary workplace safety regulations are strictly adhered to.

Requires: High School Diploma/GED or its equivalent and with 2 years of work experiences as Production Manager in a distillery or wine industry.

Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
